A Girl in a Wedding Dress

We had big ideas for a trash the dress shoot. Getting up early and ending at sunset. ha! Didn’t happen. We started at 10:00, not 7:00a.m. like we planned, we nixed any places that required hiking and even forgot some we had on our “list.” And we stopped at 3 in the afternoon. So yeah, these pictures weren’t taken during ideal light conditions. But in the end, I think the pictures reflect our style a lot better, very casual and laidback. Stopping here and there, waiting for a little cloud cover, eating along the way!

On the way home, we took the Maunawili backroads and saw this couch on the side of the road. Someone else presumably left the sign. Too funny but it made a good prop! We got a few pictures on it, though my sister didn’t want to sit in it (or lay down) too long. She was afraid of cooties or something! :)

The pictures with her husband were taken on another day. Oh, how I love the Ko`olaus…

Your sister is beautiful, Nely. Your photos evoke so many emotions (I have tears in my yees and I don’t even know them!)- what a lucky girl she is to have you as her sister and photographer. Wonderful.

My favorite one is with her son on the beach with the tree shadows framing them. So cool.

WOW! I am speechless. I agree with Susie, your photos evoke so much emotion. You really have the wonderful gift of finding beauty……..even though there is graffitti and rubbish in the picture.

It is truly amazing. Keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing more.
