I know it’s no big deal in the grand scheme of things, and they cycle through many images, but it still made me smile!

We’ve been told we’re corny for celebrating it, but hey, don’t you have to be a little corny to be a wedding photographer? To celebrate, we’re going to a marriage seminar tonight… Then, tomorrow night, we’re having our model-turned-babysitter, Shannon, watch our girls so we can go out to dinner and then off to watch U2 3D (doesn’t that sounds like a R2D2’s cousin?) movie. Thanks, Shannon!

I also just got an email notifying me that the WPJA contest results are out. I’m so completely humbled to have placed! Mara is such a superstar, she makes my work look good! :)

I had only been admitted a few days before the deadline. And by God’s grace, Keao’s image with the cake placed.

Well, I entered the Artistic Guild of The Wedding Photojournalist Association contest for the first time last quarter, and I found out the results today! I’m so incredibly happy that this image of Mara and Jason placed! I think this is my favorite photo from their wedding. I love the emotion in Mara’s face…
