Sneak Peek: Ares & Bory

Well, hello! How have you all been? It’s been a while, huh?

Instead of making promises about blogging, let me just post a few photos.

Here’s Bory & Ares. Ares is two. And she’s on her way to Harvard. She’s one of the smartest, most precocious child I’ve ever met. I’d done her photos when she was just a year old, and she walked around the park telling me all the letters and numbers she saw. Now that she’s two, she verbalizes her wishes so well and so politely, too. I had so much fun with her and her mommy!

Julia: Yet Another Sneak Peek | San Diego Senior Portrait Photography

Continuing with the tradition of this blog, here’s yet another sneak peek. Don’t you just love it?

At the start of our session, in a very sweet voice, Julia’s mom said, “Nely’s the photographer. She’s a pro. So, if she tells you to stand on your head, do it.” I knew then that our session was going to go very well! And how could it not, with a beautiful and sweet girl like Julia?

Haley & Jared – Encinitas Portrait Photography

Whoa! I haven’t blogged in so long I almost forgot how to get on here.

If this young lady looks familiar, I’d photographed her senior portraits earlier this year. It was great to see Haley again with her little brother, Jared, this time. The photos will be a Christmas gift for their mom. Isn’t that sweet?

Jared was not into photo-taking initially so we took a few shots with Haley’s boyfriend, Trevor. ..

while Jared played and played and got himself all wet…

I love this one of Haley by herself…

The sweetest thing about this was the kiss was completely spontaneous, not prompted. He just grabbed her head and kissed her. Awww…

From that point, his inner model came out, and he totally worked the camera. Too cute!

Katianne and Antony at Balboa Park and La Jolla Beach – San Diego engagement photography

One of the first things Antony told me when we were about to start their engagement session was that he did not like his pictures taken…

This was one of my first clicks. He looks like a natural to me. He and Katianne are like magnets drawn to each other…They’re just awesome together, and they made my job so easy!

Did I mention how cute they are together?

Yes, it’s out of focus. I have a sharp version but I like this one…

Balboa Park is the most requested place for portraits, and I shoot there often. I always try to find something to make each session feel personalized so I was happy to find these criss-crossing stairs for Antony & Katianne’s engagement photos.

Then, it was off to La Jolla…

This is the spot where they got engaged a few months ago.
