The park offered so much to explore. He did not have time to just sit on his parents’ laps!

But he needed his dad’s height to see the moon and stars on the ceiling.

Optimist Club Wedding – Vista, California

This past weekend, I had the privilege of shooting a beautiful wedding at the Optimist Club with the fabulous Susie Linquist. The beauty was not just in the many exquisite details but in the emotions shared throughout the day…

Their bridal party prayed over the couple during the ceremony. I’ve never seen that done before. Such an awesome idea!

A good day…

Today, David and I celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of our first date! We’ve been told we’re corny for celebrating it, but hey, don’t you have to be a little corny to be a wedding photographer? To celebrate, we’re going to a marriage seminar tonight… Then, tomorrow night, we’re having our model-turned-babysitter, Shannon, watch our girls so we can go out to dinner and then off to watch U2 3D (doesn’t that sounds like a R2D2’s cousin?) movie. Thanks, Shannon!

I also just got an email notifying me that the WPJA contest results are out. I’m so completely humbled to have placed! Mara is such a superstar, she makes my work look good!

And huge congrats to my friend, Joanna Bolick, who placed 5th overall in the contest!
