Our family and friends are like bears. We tend to hibernate in winter. We like to stay in and be in the cozy warmth of our home. Consequently, we don’t see very many people during those cold months. So, with the weather turning warmer around David’s birthday, we thought it might be nice to reconnect with friends again!
Most of our friends love board games. Either that, or we love board games, and when they come over, they’re forced to play with us 
We’re all pretty competitive but somehow, we all get along.

I don’t even go near Rock Band. With friends who actually have musical talent, it’s just wrong to even touch the instruments. I’m convinced I must have been sleeping when God was giving out the gift of rhythm.
These two like to belt it out, though. I just wish they didn’t burst into “I’m a creep, I’m a weirdo…” when they’re out in public!
This is more my game: Pirate’s Cove. Shannon and i won! Girl pirates rule! 
Oh, and yeah, we had some cake, too, courtesy of Costco. And yes, it says, “You’re the oldest…next to God. Happy Birthday.” That’s what happens when the birthday boy orders his own cake!
