Family Portraits: Ben, Debbie, Taylor and Zach

Do you ever go out to bless others, and then later realize you get more than you probably gave? Or met people that afterwards, you just feel good for having spent time with them? That’s how I felt when I met this family. I spent some time with them at Windansea for a photo shoot in conjunction with Project Heirloom.

I took some “guided” shots but for the most part, I just let them play. The kids, Taylor and Zach, had a great time collecting mussel shells. Not the prettiest things, but they were enjoyed just the same! Ah, how little kids really need…At the end of the day, Zach turned to his mom and said, “I’ve never had a day like that.” Sweet, huh?

I made sure to take some shots of just Ben and Debbie together because I know that usually, when couples have kids, they usually get family photos or just portraits of the kids….

I love love love the silhouette of the boy against the blue sky. Such a unique perspective…it’s always the highlight of my day when I check your website and see a new array of photos to drool over.
