haircuts

When I was in high school, I gave haircuts to anyone who would let me. My poor sister endured my horrible attempts at copying Jennie Garth’s short hairstyle. And maybe I shouldn’t mention that I once nicked my brother’s ear while giving him a “cool” Jason Priestley haircut. Um, yeah. I watched horrible shows then. Maybe that’s why I don’t really watch any tv shows now. But I digress…Anyways,I think I mentioned to my dad that I wanted to go to beauty school, and he was not so fond of the idea. Probably because of the bad styles I gave him, too. lol.  He knew I didn’t have the talent for it…

I’ve since given up my quest to become a hairstylist. But I still do practice on my children. I just can’t stomach paying $20 for kids’ haircuts. Plus, I don’t relish the idea of having to explain why my kid needs a trim. So I choose to do it myself.  And thankfully, my girls don’t complain. Here are their new hairdos.

You did an outstanding job, Nely!
I would totally let you cut my daughter’s hair- she would look great with a bob.
