I was in shock when I read that statistic! That's unbelievable to me. I am in love with reading. One of my first memories is going to the library with my dad. Jane Austen and Jodi Piccoult are my all time faves
Some of my other favorite authors are:
LM Montgomery
JK Rowling
Don Luis Miguel
Anne McCaffrey
Jasper Fforde (Thursday Next Series - these are so clever and witty!)

I'll read just about anything, it doesn't matter to me. Just as long as I have something to keep me occupied!

hi nely!
i LOVE this post. i LOVE to read and cannot believe that people stop reading after high school. i will have to check out the book you sited and i love the list of your favorite authors. Let's see, I will share some titles of books I read with my book club and really enjoyed:
(1) The Big Stone Gap series by Adriana Trigiani
*another book by her that is not in the series but is probably one of my favorite books of all times is Lucia, Lucia.
(2) Girl with a Pearl Earring
(3) Devil in the White City: Erik Larson (historical fiction)
(4) The Other Boleyn Girl: Philippa Gregory
Our newest selection is Life of Pi which I haven't started yet.
We have read lots more, but those are some of my favorites and we have read some by your favorite authors like Maeve Binchy and Jodi Picoult (love everything by her).
Oh, I just thought of Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life--you will love this if you haven't already read it!
Oh and I also just finished the first nonfiction work by John Grisham (not really a big fan of his, but this book is totally different because it is nonfiction) called, The Innocent Man.

Okay, I am all over the place here...i will just end it now!
