Shadowcatcher

It was borne out of necessity. I wanted family pictures of us during a trip but I was too shy to hand my camera over to strangers. Or sometimes, there wasn’t anyone around, and I didn’t particularly like lugging a tripod around for the express purpose of taking a family portrait. So, we started taking pictures of our shadow at different scenic places. Mind you, when we started doing this, I was still shooting film (y’know, those ancient things that came in a canister?). So our attempts were often downright ugly.We looked like blobs on a rock. Digital has made it so much easier because I can chimp and adjust my focal length.

Here are some shadow images I could find:

I love these! Me and Judah talk about our shadows all the time. We might have to catch our shadows in photo.
