So embarrassing

On Friday night, I went to my friend, Aaron’s, birthday party at a bowling alley.

The place was packed with people (an important detail which makes this story more embarrassing.)

I went to rent some lovely bowling shoes. As our lanes were a bit down the hall from the cashier, I decided to put on the very stylish footwear right away so I didn’t have to carry them any longer. So I threw them on the floor and proceeded to slip my feet into them. I took one step and quickly realized that the shoes were tied together! But the realization came too late, as my clumsiness, gravity, and the still-tied shoes all colluded and propelled me into a face-plant right in the middle of the bowling alley! Haha!

Thankfully, no one in our party witnessed what happened. Most of them are wedding photographers with Twitter accounts, and I’m sure a photo of me would have ended up on the fail blog had they seen my little incident.

I’m still laughing about it. And I thought I’d share so you can also get a laugh on this Monday afternoon. Mondays can be so rough, right?

Please tell me I’m not the only one to whom these things happen? Tell me your stories. Email me if you’re too embarrassed to post here. I’d like to laugh, too. With you and not at you, of course! And it’s ok. You may laugh at me. I do. All the time!

I bump into doors, doorknobs, chairs and my bedframe almost everyday if that makes you feel better. Oh yea and one time after eating a spam musubi I started picking out seaweed from my teeth using a dark tinted car window as a mirror but didn’t realize someone was IN the car til they stuck their face against the glass laughing. Highly embarrassing!!! But I can laugh about it now!
