Soooo my kids!

Keilah: I think I’m going to be an author first before I’m going to be an entomologist.

me: How come?

Keilah: Because I’d have to go to college to be an entomologist, and I heard college is expensive! Maybe I can write and sell some books first.

Kealoha bursts into tears.

me: What’s the matter?

Kealoha: I want to go to college but I don’t like to spend moneyyyyy!

Keilah: It’s ok. If you work hard, you can get scholarships so someone else can pay for college. (Yes, this is how she really talks. She’s 7 going on 35. When her sister asks for another sibling, Keilah lectures her: “Do you know that a baby means another mouth to feed, another bed to buy? We’d need a bigger house…”)

Kealoha: (sniffles) It’s ok! I don’t have to go to college! I’m going to be a gardener instead!

Such is life with two very different girls. One very cerebral and one very emotional. Life is never boring!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Seriously, nely, do you ever think about writing books yourself. You have such a way of describing them and dialoguing that I feel like I’m peeking in the window watching the fun unfold before my eyes.

Thanks, Keao and E.

Keao, I’ll just wait for Keilah to write her book. Without her and Kealoha, I don’t really have any material! :P
