Vinnie & Krystie – Halekulani Hotel – O`ahu, Hawaii

Earlier this spring, Vinnie sent me an inquiry through the contact form on my website. The message box said “I’m getting married! You want to shoot my wedding?” How could I have refused. I just thought it was funny considering we’ve been friends for over 10 years, and he could have just called me. We met through our college/career group at Hope Chapel Kaneohe. We love Vinnie. He’s one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Yet, he’s tough – he’s a cop and a member of the National Guard. (pray for him as he’s being deployed to the Middle East sometime next month). I was completely honored to have been part of his and Krystie’s wedding day at Halekulani Hotel!

It was so awesome to witness just how happy they are!

Their wedding was officiated by our good friend, Tisha Lehfeldt, who used to be our College Group Leader.  She’s near and dear to my and David’s hearts, as she mentored and poured so much time and love to us before we were married.  I still email her, sometimes, when I need counsel. She was the MC at our own wedding (nine years ago today!) . We so love her!

Krystie’s mother. Isn’t she beautiful?

There was a lot of this during the reception. One particular table would wait until Vinnie took a bite then started furiously clinking their glasses.  Poor Vin, he finally caught on and just stopped eating!

Hi Nely,

The pictures are wonderful. Krystie looks beautiful as always. But, really, the best part is that you really captured Vinnie. I just kept laughing at the pictures and thinking “that’s so vinnie.” (I think the crying one a little)

super duper photographer, check. check. check.

[...] Krystie and Vinnie’s wedding album came in yesterday, and I almost wanted to keep it to myself! Much like the way Kealoha wanted to keep a canvas print once. [...]
