We’re ok.

Thank you for the phone calls and the concern about the fires here in Southern California. We’re safe right now. The kids are home. We haven’t set foot outside the house all day.

A lot of other people lost their homes today, so please keep them in your thoughts. Keep SoCal in your prayers. Eight fires are un-contained just in San Diego county alone. Please pray for safety for the firefighters and evacuees. Pray for the winds to let up. Pray for rain, even. It seems impossible. But with God, everything is possible, right?

This was Kealoha’s prayer this morning after she found out preschool is cancelled due to the fires: Dear Jesus, could you make the fire stop. And keep people’s houses safe. And the people who lost their houses, can you give them a new one that’s like their old one? With the same door and windows? In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

I I have been praying for the winds to die down but you aare right…rain would be great. Glad your family is safe. We stayed inside all day today and we will do the same tomorrow. I’m glad all is well with you. I have been praying for rain. If God can part the Red Sea surely He can send rain. (1Kings 18:1) Here in the valley we can see the fire and smell the smoke from Lake Arrowhead… it’s so surreal.

thank goodness you guys are all okay! that prayer made me tear up…errr… they were manly tears! we’re still okay, didn’t sleep to good knowing the fire is now hitting scripps ranch & poway which is only a few miles away. God bless you all!! stay safe!

very very, glad to hear that you are all okay. I thought about SoCal all day today. My heart aches for the losses that people are facing. And some of them without a hope in Christ! I can’t imagine it. But, I’m praying that God will restore them all. And that rain will fall:P
