1. Do you have back-up equipment?
There is no do-over for the important event that I’m photographing. I carry multiple camera bodies and lenses with me on your wedding day so I don’t miss a moment due to equipment malfunction.
2. Why are you a wedding photographer?
I love weddings. I love capturing relationships, details, and moments that are made even more important as time passes.
3. When can I expect my images?
Your gallery is available 3-4 weeks after the wedding. Albums take 8-12 weeks after the design has been finalized.
4. What is your style?
My style is mostly documentary. I like to photograph moments as they happen. I won’t be stopping you in the middle of your first dance to tell you to smile for the camera, for example.
I do love to photograph family portraits and may offer direction to ensure positions are flattering.
5. Will you be the actual photographer at our wedding?
Yes, I will be the primary photographer at your wedding. Depending on your package, a second photographer may also shoot with me.
6. How many other events will you be photographing on the weekend of my wedding?
I only photograph one wedding per weekend so I can be focused on your event.
7. Are you insured?
Yes, of course. I carry equipment and business liability insurance.
8. How do I book you?
I book on a first come, first served basis. A signed agreement with a $1,000 retainer is required to hold your wedding date.
9. Do we get a CD of our wedding images?
All packages include a CD of your wedding images, along with a print release. Engagement files are also available for purchase or may be included in some packages.
10. How long have you been a photographer?
I’ve owned an SLR since 1997 and have been pursuing photography since then. I started with film, even learning to develop my own in the darkroom. I’ve since switched to digital. Though I photographed my first wedding for a friend in 2003, I didn’t officially become a professional wedding photographer until 2007.
